In an attempt to create more dialog without filtering it first I removed comment monitoring. When someone comments it goes on the site, whether or not I agree with it.
Yet this is supposed to be about a journey from fear to love, from rules to relationship, and from religion to freedom. If someone posts something that isn’t loving feedback but is just cruel commentary, I reserve the right to delete the comments. If this abuse continues to take place I’ll actually ban someone from my site.
Honestly, if you feel that passionate about something and feel like writing a rant, get your own blog!
As for Dan/Fisherman75 who was ripping people and their views apart on my blog like he was Mark Driscoll’s sanctioned grim reaper—you have been banned. Actually you won’t even see this message because your IP address has been forwarded to this page on the Wittenburg Door: Mark Driscoll Kicks His Own Ass
I'd rather delete a comment than moderate.. and, unless spammers becomes a problem, I refuse to bow to the word verification silliness.. guess I just don't want to bow to the spammers.. and even if I turn it on I would turn it off in a week or so.. sorry for the rant.
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving the comment, Bob. I don't want to control it either... what a silly waste of time.
ReplyDeleteI've chosen to moderate my blog, at least for this time, but I wonder about people who haven't got anything better to do than to write snarky comments on other people's blogs.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! I barely have time to read the blogs I want to read much less spend time arguing with the blog owner. Some peple need to get a life in my opinion.
Too true, Aida! It is a much better venue for connecting than correcting anyways!
